At Mirror Image we always take great care to ensure that every furniture installation we undertake is completed as quickly as possible and with the minimum amount of inconvenience to you - without compromising on a high quality finish. To ensure that your installation goes as smoothly as possible, there are a number of things you can do to help our fitters before we arrive.
Due to health and safety reasons our fitters must wear their footwear. Whilst we do bring our own dust sheets with us, any additional sheets you have would be useful in protecting your carpet or flooring from damage. During the installation they will also be carrying large panels through your property, so to give them plenty of room to operate we ask that you remove any ornaments, light fittings, pictures and furniture that may cause an obstruction.
In addition to those simple steps, we are also regularly asked questions that could impact upon the quality of the installation itself. Some of the most common queries include:
- Electrical Points: We would always recommend that where it is necessary to move a socket, this is carried out in advance of installing your furniture. Our team can recommend a number of qualified electricians to carry out this work should you require one.
- Carpets: To ensure a precise and accurate finish to your installation, it is best to remove or roll back existing carpet from the area of the installation. If you are planning to fit a new carpet in the room, we would advise that this is done after the installation of your new furniture. Whilst our fitters will not be able to cut, remove or install any carpet, we can recommend a number of experienced carpet fitters to carry out this work for you.
- Underfloor Heating: In the past we have carried out a number of installations in rooms fitted with underfloor heating. If your room is fitted with underfloor heating please let us know in advance.
- Decorating: Whilst painting can be completed after your installation, if you are planning to wallpaper the room in which your furniture is to be fitted, we would recommend you do so once the work is complete to avoid any possible damage.
These simple things can go a long way to ensuring we get your furniture fitted and our fitters out of your way in the minimum amount of time. If you have any questions regarding your Mirror Image furniture installation that have not been covered in this blog, please do not hesitate to speak with our team.
