Once you have chosen and designed your bespoke furniture and a date has been set for our fitters to come round and install it, there are a few things that you can do to make sure the installation of your new fitted wardrobe or home office causes as little disruption as possible. Let’s run through them.
Double Check the Measurements on the Plan
“Measure twice: cut once,” they say in the joinery business. Your furniture will be constructed according to the measurements detailed on your plan: so please make sure any specific measurements (e.g the size of a television monitor) are accurate.
Access to the Installation Room
Our team of fitters are going to be coming through with some large panels and bulky items. Please make sure the hallway and stairs are clear of delicate ornaments, hanging pictures, lamp shades and antique mirrors! We can’t take responsibility for any breakages, so it’s best if everything is tucked safely away.
Clear The Installation Room
Please empty the room where the installation is to take place as completely as possible. Our fitters will be more than happy to assist you in the shifting of any large furniture items that you are unable to manage on your own.
Lay Down Dust Sheets
We will supply dust sheets for the installation room. For health and safety reasons, our fitters do not remove their shoes, so you may wish to lay down additional dust sheets between the front door and the installation room.
Prepare the Ground
Our fitted installations go from floor to ceiling. Please prepare the ground for your installation by rolling back carpets and informing us of the location of any pipes or underfloor heating systems in the region of the installation.
Once your order is ready, we will send you a reminder of all of this important information to make sure that your fitting takes place with minimal disruption. If you have any questions at all about any stage in this process, please don’t hesitate to call us on 01603 417577.
