Mirror Image DIY Fitted Wardrobes: 4 Things to Consider

Posted on 25/06/2015
The DIY industry is worth an estimated £22 billion globally and despite living in a digital age it would appear that here in the UK it continues to be one of our favourite indoor pastimes. New research has shown that 23% of us are at our happiest when we are picking up a paintbrush or putting together a new cupboard. If you are a fan of DIY, or if you work in the trade, you may be interested to know that our sliding wardrobe doors are available for DIY installation. However, if you are considering installing your own Mirror Image sliding wardrobe, there are a few things we wanted to make you aware off: Do You Carry Out A Survey Of My Room? Unfortunately for DIY installations we are not able to undertake a survey of your room. It is therefore very important that you carefully measure the height and width of your proposed wardrobe space before placing your order. Once you have these measurements, pop into one of our showrooms and our team will be happy to help you find your perfect door. Which Ranges Are Available? We are able to supply any of our sliding wardrobe doors range for DIY installation. You will be supplied with doors and tracks, though not the interiors, in one of our three beautiful finishes and can choose from:
  • Aluminium Frames: Available with the option of either horizontal or vertical glazed panels, our aluminium framed doors are incredibly versatile. Each is supplied with colour coordinated top and bottom tracks in a choice of five colours including Olive, Champagne, Silver, Graphite and White.
  • Halifax Range: Manufactured from steel, our Halifax range features horizontal glazed panels. Choose from five patterned glass options, 19 coloured glass options and 17 wood panel colours to create a door that perfectly complements the look of your room.
  • Multi-glaze: If you are looking to create the perfect blend of wood and coloured glass you may be interested in our Multi-glaze doors. Available in either horizontal or vertical designs, the look of these doors is limited only by your imagination.
Do You Deliver? We are happy to deliver your new Mirror Image sliding doors free of charge to any property located within a 20 mile radius of our showrooms. Delivery to properties beyond this radius is also available, but will be subject to a delivery charge. Upon arrival at your property our team will deliver your furniture as far as your main front door. Payment: When ordering doors for DIY installations we kindly ask that customers for payment in advance. If you have any questions not covered in this blog or would like more information about ordering our furniture for DIY installation, please pop in and see us at our showrooms in Norwich and Cambridge or give us a call.
