We have mentioned previously in our blog that it is very rare for our team of installers to come across two identical rooms. Whether it is the dimensions of the room or the unusual features contained within it, every project throws up its own unique challenges. One problem that arises from time to time is that of angled or sloping ceilings.
Angled ceilings are most commonly associated with bedrooms which have been incorporated into loft conversions, though it is not uncommon for them to be an issue in many other types of property. Fortunately, by opting for fitted bedroom furniture, it is possible to overcome this problem and achieve a high quality finish.
In many instances a small angle can be incorporated into the design without the need for angled doors. For larger angles however, there are a few things that you may want to bear in mind.
- Hinged Door Wardrobes: If you are looking for a hinged door wardrobe, our Bliss, Premier and Solid Wood ranges can all be adapted to suit an angled ceiling. We would nearly always recommend that customers opt for a hinged design, as we believe it offers fewer restrictions on storage than sliding alternatives.
- Sliding Door Wardrobes: For those who would prefer a sliding door solution, our aluminium Calgary range offers a stylish finish. Available in a choice of six frame colours, five pattern glass design and 22 different coloured glass designs, the design possibilities are almost endless!
Unlike traditional stand-alone pieces, a fitted wardrobe is the ideal solution if you are looking to overcome a sloping ceiling. Their floor to ceiling design allows you to make full use of the space you have available and leaves no gaps in which dust to gather.
If you think fitted bedroom furniture could help to overcome the unique characteristics of your room, do not hesitate to pop into our showroom and speak to us. With many design options available we can almost certainly meet any requirements you may have.
